Ever buy something that you normally don't wear but convince yourself it's a fashion experiment? Or maybe your S.O. isn't a big fan of it? Well, allow me to introduce you to these harem pants!
Last Spring, I bought these pants on a whim. I was certain I could pull off the look and thought that even if not, at least I would be going out of my comfort zone and having some fun in the process. So, I brought them home, thinking the Hubby would totally support my vision and admire my fashionable bravery. Yeah...not so much. He hated them, adding that he felt like I buy clothes he doesn't like a lot. Well, I was a bit crushed to say the least. Nevertheless, I wanted so badly to wear them without fear. (I mean, they are so incredibly comfy - like wearing pajamas!) However, I must admit, I can count on one hand the number of times I've worn them and this post makes it four. (Lesson learned: sometimes getting out of your comfort zone is just plain uncomfortable, even when the item in question is comfy.)
In this ensemble, head-to-toe: earrings-H&M, necklace-Loft (also seen here), sweater-Loft, oxford-New York & Co., bracelet-Loft (also seen here), pants-Loft, shoes-Forever 21 (also seen here)
To keep the look "safe," I kept the rest of the outfit pretty demure (probably not a bad idea when dealing with more trendier items).
So what do you think about harem pants? Are they a no or a go? Do you take fashion risks or stay in your safe zone?
